The program supports marginalized communities with their emergency needs and through its self-sustainment initiatives. The Sahara Program is the pioneer program of the Hashoo Foundation which started its services in 1988.
Community Development Program
Hashoo Trust’s Community Development program primarily focuses on uplifting the underprivileged communities via innovative and viable interventions predominantly targeting Education and WASH. The programs are developed and designed in lieu of the communal needs and intrinsic capacity of the communities provided they are furnished with sound technical skills and knowledge.
Humanitarian assistance has been a legacy of the Hashwani family for decades. Hashoo Trust's Humanitarian Program provides communities at risk of natural and man-made disasters with capacity-building interventions. Disaster risk reduction initiatives such as first aid training and rehabilitation measures are provided to ensure the preparedness of disaster-prone communities.
Child Education Support
Hashoo Trust's Child Education Support program assists students coming from low-income backgrounds in remote and rural areas. Educational support is provided across class grade levels from nursery to grade twelve for the full coverage of tuition fees, uniforms, and stationary.
Winter Clothes Distribution
As part of its emergency relief program, Hashoo Trust in collaboration with different donors, implementing partners and community-based organizations distributes warm winter clothing among disadvantaged people in remote and cold areas of the country based on arising need.
Under the SCIPPER project, Hashoo Trust provides monthly support in the form of financial help, vocational training, peer-counselling, and caregiving services to spinal cord injury affectees of the devastating 2005 earthquake.
